God commanded God’s people to celebrate the feasts as an everlasting ordinance for generations to come.

“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘These are my appointed feasts [festivals], the appointed feasts [festivals] of the LORD, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies… wherever you live, it is a Sabbath to the LORD… The LORD’S Passover begins at twilight [evening] on the fourteenth day of the first month. On the fifteenth day of that month the LORD’S Feast of Unleavened Bread begins; for seven days you must eat bread made without yeast… This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come (Leviticus 23:2-41)

However, God also said He would stop all feasts.

I will stop all her celebrations [I will put an end to all her joy] : her yearly festivals, her New Moons, her Sabbath days–all her appointed feasts. (Hosea 2:11)

Why would He stop the appointed feasts He designated as an everlasting ordinance?

She has not acknowledged [She didn’t know] that I was the one who gave her the grain, the new wine and oil, who lavished on her the silver and gold–which they used for Baal. (Hosea 2:8)

I will punish her for the days she burned incense to the Baals; she decked [adorned] herself with rings and jewelry, and went after her lovers, but me she forgot,” declares the LORD. (Hosea 2:13)

God stopped the feasts as a punishment for those who did not worshiped God, but the Baals.

The feasts of God contains the promise of the blessings. How can God allow such promise to those who abandoned God and worshiped the idols? God punished  the idolaters by taking away the feasts from them to get rid of blessings.

Jesus established the New Covenant 2,000 years ago.

For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant [the old covenant], no place would have been sought for another. But God found fault with the people and said: “The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. (Hebrews 8:7-8)

The disciples and prophets of the Early Church followed the Sabbath and the feasts of the New Covenant which were made perfect through the blood of Christ.

However, the church became corrupt and gradually accepted customs of sun-god worship including the Sunday service and Christmas. The New Covenant which contains the promise of the forgiveness of sins and eternal life cannot be allowed to those who forget God and follow pagan gods. After all, just as God had prohibited Baal worshipers from  the feasts of God, so God prevented sun-god worshipers from the feasts of God. As a result, today all churches which follow customs of sun-god worship have lost the feasts of God and no one can keep them.

Most people who support the Sunday service claim that the feasts and Sabbath day were abolished by quoting Hosea 2:11. Those who claim that the feasts and Sabbath were ended according to Hosea 2:11 acknowledge they are idolaters. It is surprising how well they know the prophecy about themselves!

The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) observes the Sabbath and the feasts of the New Covenant restored by Christ Ahnsahnghong. Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Second Coming Jesus whom the Bible testifies to.
