You can think what you want, but the results may not be what you wanted. It also applies to the spiritual world as well as this visible world.

God said, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 7.21.) However, Christians have blind belief: “God will forgive me because I love God. How would God send me to hell?” Why do they have such blind belief?

in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–not by works, so that no one can boast. (Ephesians 2:7-9)

The above verse is frequently used by Christians pastors. They stress to the saints that “We have been saved by grace of Jesus. We just need to believe this.” by quoting it. They also add that salvation through actions (feasts) has been abolished.

Can we be saved as long as we have faith like their word? Let’s listen to the words of Jesus. Jesus promised that the Passover bread and wine is the flesh and blood of Jesus, and those who eat and drink the Passover bread and wine have the forgiveness of sins. In other words, Jesus said that those who keep the Passover could be saved.

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover… While they were eating (the Passover), Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this [Passover bread] is my body.” Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This [Passover wine] is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Matthew 26:19, 26-28)

Jesus said that He would forgive our spiritual sins when we eat and drink the Passover bread and wine. This is really the gift and grace of God. Of course, the Passover bread and wine itself or the act of eating and drinking the bread and wine itself does not give us salvation. Jesus said “I eagerly desires to eat this Passover with you (His children)” (Luke 22:15) and “those who keep the Passover have the forgiveness of sins.” So, the Passover contains His grace which leads us to salvation.

Christian pastors, who do not know this principle, would not keep the Passover by claiming that actions cannot save them. They just stress that all actions were abolished after Christ’s Crucifixion and salvation is only possible by faith. However, those who believe in God, must also believe in and follow the Word of God.

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds [actions]? Can such faith save him? … In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. (James 2:14-17)

Faith without action is dead.  Thought Jesus says that those who keep the Passover have the forgiveness of sins, it’s meaningless if you do not act according to His Word. If you realize and believe in the Word of God, actions which follow the Word are required. How will God consider those who do not act after hearing the Word of God? If you think “God will forgive my faults because God loves me,” it’s only your thought.

since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh at your disaster; I will mock when calamity overtakes you– (Proverbs 1:25-26)

God said that He would laugh at those who ignored His advice and would not accept His rebuke when they face disaster. How dreadful indeed! Therefore, please come out of your own thought. Jesus said, “Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.” If you really want to be loved by God, you should act with faith that God gives us the forgiveness of sins through the Passover. This is the way of love God taught.

The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) observes the Passover according to the teachings of Jesus and also believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong who came as the Savior of this age according to the prophecies of the Bible.
