Some people misunderstand that the World Mission Society Church of God does not believe in Jesus. However, the Church of God believes in Jesus. The WMSCOG ardently believes in Jesus more than any other churches. So the Church of God observes the Sabbath which Jesus taught us to keep (Luke 4:16,) and celebrates the Passover of the New Covenant which Jesus desired to keep (Luke 22:15.) The Church of God celebrates the Feast of Tabernacles (John 7:2-39) because it follows the teachings of Jesus. And the women members of the Church of God worship or pray with their heads covered by following the example of Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1-16.)

Nonetheless, why are there people who misunderstand that the World Mission Society Church of God does not believe in Jesus? It is possibly because the Church of God believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong, the Second Coming Jesus. Some might say, “Look, you do not believe in Jesus, do you?” Let’s find out why the World Mission Society Church of God believes in Jesus through the Bible.

I, even I, am the LORD [Jehovah], and apart from me there is no savior (Isaiah 43:11)

God clearly declared that there is no savior other than Jehovah. But, the disciples wrote differently:

He [Jesus] is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.’ Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:11-12)

Apostle Peter said that Jesus is the Savior and no other name was given to men. It’s very strange. Did Peter know something wrong? However, it cannot be that Apostle Peter, the best disciple of Jesus, witnessed something false. We can understand why he said so by combining a series of words of Jesus.

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name [in the name of Jesus]. (From now on) Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. (John 16:24; cf. Psalms 116:4)

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses [witnesses of Jesus] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8; cf. Isaiah 43:10)

You know, God divided the period of His redemption work into three ages. Just as Jesus said, it’s natural that they prayed in the name of Jehovah and became witnesses of Jehovah “until then” because it was the age of the Father, but they had to pray in the name of Jesus and become witnesses of Jesus “since then” because the age of the Son came. Therefore, Jesus commanded the disciples to baptize all people “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” and teach them to obey everything Jesus taught (Matthew 28:18-20.)

Now we are living in the age of the Holy Spirit. So, it’s natural that we must pray in the name of the Holy Spirit and become witness of Him, isn’t it?

Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God… I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my [Jesus’] new name. (Revelation 3:12)

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:28)

According to the prophecy of the Bible, there is One who appeared a second time to save mankind in the age of the Holy Spirit. He is Christ Ahnsahnghong. Christ Ahnsahnghong restored all truth of salvation such as the Sabbath, the Passover, the Feast of Tabernacles and the Regulation on covering women’s hair during worship or praying that was established by Jesus 2,000 years ago, but disappeared. He appeared with the “New Name” as Apostle John had written. Who did crucify Jesus on a cross 2,000 years ago? Those who took pride in knowing the Scriptures and believing in God did. They did not recognize the age and persecuted the Savior who came in the flesh.

Can it be said that you truly believe in and love Jesus if you ignore the commandments of Jesus and follow man-made rules such as Sunday service, Christmas and Thanksgiving day? Please consider it carefully. We must be aware of the Word of Jesus: If you love me, you will obey what I command (John 14:15.)
