The Apostle Paul, in his second letter, carefully wrote about “another Jesus” that he had not mentioned before. Who is “another Jesus” the Apostle Paul mentioned? Was there a different person with the name Jesus at that time? Let’s check out the passage where “another Jesus” appears:
For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus [another Jesus: ASV] we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. (2 Corinthians 11:4)
Paul wrote this letter to warn about false apostles who frequently appeared since the apostolic age. We can understand it better in Verse 13 of the same Chapter:
For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)
In other words, “another Jesus” is not a person of the same name, but a false apostle or a false Christ. It was a common problem for the Apostles. The Apostle John also wrote about a false Christ:
Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. (1 John 2:18)
How can we recognize “another Jesus” or the antichrist? The way to recognize him is also found in the Bible.
Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. (2 John 1:7)
The antichrist or “another Jesus” is the one who does not acknowledge the Second Coming Jesus as coming in the flesh. According to the Bible, Jesus is to come in the flesh. Moreover, He is to bring us the Passover which has the power to forgive sins (Hebrews 9:27-28.) We must believe in the Bible as written. It’s not allowed to add to or subtract from it.
Nonetheless, if you try to deny the Second Coming Christ, you will be found to be a false prophet who preaches “another Jesus” or the antichrist.
NOTE: The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong who came in the flesh and brought us the Passover according to the prophecies of the Bible (Hebrews 9:27-28.)
“…He(Jesus) will “appear a second time” to bring salvation…”
which means he must have appeared once before, so we can call next time a second time.
Then,If Jesus “appeared as a man” at his first coming, then he shld also “appear as a man” at his second coming. It is wrong that Christ Ahnsahnong is not second coming Christ b/c he came in human likeness.
Thanks for your comment.
It’s so true. Jesus said “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” This implies that “He is always with us in Spirit.” So, to appear a second time (Hebrews 9:28) means to come as a man as He did 2,000 years ago.
It sounds interesting. Another Jesus..
In my opinion, today’s religion is really corrpted, so I was disappointed and didn’t attend the church.
But, if there is a church that follows Bible’s teaching and contributes to the whold world,
I consider to participate. I am waiting for meeting real God, true God.
Christ Ahnsahnghong came to save us through the 5W1H. Bible was written to appear about false christ the past as well as this age. Let me check, False christ is appearing because there is truth.
Christ Jesus testify about second coming Christ who coming a second time in the last age. So second coming Christ who reveal the new covenant Passover and all feast of God that destroyed in the religious darkness age has come again in this Holy Spirit age.
I want to believe in Jesus whom the Bible testifies to!
I’ve learned thru the Bible that Christ Jesus had established the New Covenant Passover for salvation. And, I also learned that Christ Jesus will appear a second time with this New Covenant in this last age!!
We must receive Ahnsahnghong as the second coming Christ, for He gave us the Passover of the new covenant. 🙂
