Here is an interesting picture of George W. Bush, the 43rd President of the United States:

Aging in Office - Bush

Presidents may enter the office bright-eyed, but they tend to leave with a few more wrinkles and a lot more gray hairs. Compare a younger President George W. Bush, left, before the economic crisis, before Iraq and before Sept. 11, 2001, to Bush in early November. (Source: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/)

From the above picture, we can guess how much stress he had during his presidency.

Here is a more dramatic picture of another former president of the United States:

Richard Nixon

Richard Milhous Nixon, the 37th President of the United States, looked quite different at his inauguration (left) than he did in the midst of the scandal, six years later (right).

You know, it’s very glorious and exciting to be a president of a country. However, the excitement and delight do not last so long. These pictures suggest that even people who have the greatest power are helpless in front of time and also have to face aging and death. Moreover, they continue to fight with every kind of difficulties during their presidency. Can it be the true glory and honor?

Everyone has been given an opportunity to live on this earth. Most people try to chase after wealth and social status during their life. But the time comes near when they have to go to where everyone goes; they say, “Meaningless! Everything is a chasing after the wind” as Solomon, King of Wisdom, already said.

What if the glory, honor and pleasure last forever? Isn’t it worth chasing after it? The Apostle John saw a new heaven and a new earth where there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain (Revelation 21:1-4.) In other words, there is no more death or mourning or crying or pain in the kingdom of heaven. Moreover, the saved people will reign for ever and ever (Revelation 22:5) not just for 4 years or 8 years. How exciting it will be to enter the kingdom of heaven!

Then, how can we enter the kingdom of heaven where there is no death or pain? We cannot enter the heaven without having the promise of eternal life. Jesus said,

I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day (John 6:53-54)

Without eating the flesh of Jesus and drinking his flesh, we cannot have eternal life and cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Then, how can we eat and drink his flesh and blood? Jesus let us know how to eat his flesh and drink his blood through the Passover:

On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” … While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”  Then he took the cup [filled with wine], gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins…” (Matthew 26:17-28)

As you see, the Passover bread represents the body [flesh] of Jesus and the Passover wine his blood. He promised the forgiveness of sins on the day of the Passover. Can we have the forgiveness of sins without keeping the Passover? Jesus clearly said, “Take and eat” and “Drink from it.” Those who reject to keep the Passover deny the Words of Jesus. He declared the Passover as the new covenant and even said, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you” (Luke 22:15.)

In the same way, after the super he took the cup, saying, “This cup [The Passover wine] is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.” (Luke 22:20)

Jesus established the new covenant for us, sinners, who are destined to go to hell. To save sinners, Jesus came to this earth and established the new covenant of the Passover according to prophecy of the Scriptures.

However, this feast of life disappeared during the Dark Ages and no one could have hope of the kingdom of heaven. For this reason, it’s prophesied that Jesus would appear a second time to bring salvation (Hebrews 9:28.) According to the prophecy of the Bible, Christ Ahnsahnghong came to the earth and restored the Passover of the new covenant to save mankind in this age. If you come to the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG), you can keep the new covenant of the Passover in accordance with the Words of Jesus and can meet the Second Coming Christ who has already come according to the prophecy of the Scriptures.
