People watch news to know what’s happening in our world. Among many types of news, the weather forecasts section is the most popular. People see this section when they go on a journey, picnic or holiday.
The word “forecast” means to “predict” or “report beforehand” some future event or condition. We prepare for tomorrow by referring to the weather forecasts because we do not know how the weather will be changing. So one of the most popular apps is one that arrange the weather forecasts by region or by country.
What if an app that predicts tomorrow is developed? Maybe, all people who own smartphones around the world will buy this app. And many people may purchase new smartphones to use this app. However, do you know there is an app that accurately predicts the future? It’s very close to us. It’s the Bible.
We even do not know what will happen tomorrow. So God allowed us the Bible, the book of sure prophecy. Just as we watch the weather forecasts to prepare for tomorrow, so we must consult the Bible for our successful life “until the day dawns and the morning star rises in our hearts.”
The Bible predicts not only good things, but also dreadful things such as wars, disasters, famine, earthquakes and so on.
It’s prophesied in the Bible that mankind will have great disasters in the last days. The Bible also let us know how we can prepare for such disasters.
In the age of the Old Testament, the Lord [God Jehovah] ordered the Israelites to keep the “Passover” to be protected from disasters. In the age of the New Testament, Jesus established the “Passover” of the New Covenant for us to be protected from everlasting disasters. God promised us everlasting salvation of our souls, not temporary salvation of our bodies.
If it’s predicted that we will have rain tomorrow, smart people will prepare umbrellas. What will you do if disasters or accidents will happen tomorrow? What will you prepare for such disasters? If you are smart, you will surely keep the Passover of the New Covenant.
