Jehu is searching for the body of Jezebel

Jesus reproached that the church would tolerate Jezebel in the future.

Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. By her teaching she misleads my servants into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. (Revelation 2:20)

What does it mean that the church would tolerate Jezebel? Let’s find out the record for Jezebel in the Bible.

In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab son of Omri became king of Israel… Ahab son of Omri did more evil in the eyes of the LORD than any of those before him. He not only considered it trivial to commit the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, but he also married Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians [Sidon or Zidonians], and began to serve Baal and worship him. He set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal that he built in Samaria. Ahab also made an Asherah pole and did more to provoke the LORD, the God of Israel, to anger than did all the kings of Israel before him. (1 Kings 16:29-34)

Jezebel, the wife of King Ahab, brought Baal worship into Israel where people worshiped God. Baal was a pagan god served by the semites of ancient Assyria. Baal was worshiped as a guardian in each city of Phoenicia. Phoenicia is mentioned as Sidon and Tyro in the Bible. Jezebel was the daughter of King Ethbaal of Sidon. Therefore, to tolerate Jezebel means to tolerate Baal worship.

Which churches worship Baal on earth? Baal worship indicates “sun-god” worship.

Under his direction the altars of the Baals were torn down; he cut to pieces the incense altars that were above them [and the sun-images that were on high above them he hewed down: ASV], and smashed the Asherah poles, the idols and the images. These he broke to pieces and scattered over the graves of those who had sacrificed to them… he tore down the altars and the Asherah poles and crushed the idols to powder and cut to pieces all the incense altars [all the sun-images] throughout Israel. Then he went back to Jerusalem. (2 Chronicles 34:4-7)

Therefore, to introduce Baal worship into the church means to introduce sun-god worship. As prophesied, sun-god worship ritual penetrated into today’s churches quietly. Christmas on 25th December has nothing to do with the birth of Christ. It was derived from the birthday of ancient sun-god. Also, the Sunday service is not based on the Bible. The Sunday service was established when in 321 AD Constantine made the first day of the week a holiday and called it “the venerable day of the Sun.” In the time of Jezebel, Baal worship thrived and there was no other prophet of God except Elijah.

Then Elijah commanded them, “Seize the prophets of Baal. Don’t let anyone get away!” They seized them, and Elijah had them brought down to the Kishon Valley and slaughtered there. (1 Kings 18:40)

Then Jehu and Jehonadab son of Recab went into the temple of Baal. Jehu said to the ministers of Baal, “Look around and see that no servants of the LORD are here with you–only ministers of Baal.” … As soon as Jehu had finished making the burnt offering, he ordered the guards and officers: “Go in and kill everyone; let no one escape.” So they cut them down with the sword. The guards and officers threw the bodies out and then entered the inner shrine of the temple of Baal. They brought the sacred stone [pillar] out of the temple of Baal and burned it. (2 Kings 10:23-27)

Just as Baal worship was rampant across Israel in the time of Jezebel, so sun-god worship is wide-spread throughout the world in these last days. The destruction of Baal worshipers shows what the end of sun-day worshipers of today will be like. God sent Elijah to make the corrupt Israelites repent. In the same way, Elijah is to appear in this world in the last days when the whole world is on the verge of destruction due to idolatry.

“Remember the law of my servant Moses, the decrees and laws I gave him at Horeb [Mount Sinai] for all Israel. “See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.” (Malachi 4:4-6)

Elijah, who is to appear in the last days, is the one who restores the decrees and laws of God and turns the hearts of God’s children to God. The Law of Moses was completed as the New Covenant by Jesus. Therefore, the decrees and laws which will be restored in the lest days refer to the New Covenant. Christ Ahnsahnghong recovered the decrees and laws of the New Covenant completely. So, Christ Ahnsahnghong is Elijah who is to appear in these last days.

Though Christ Ahnsahnghong came as Elijah, He is God who fulfilled all prophecies of the Bible. Please see this page for this issue.
