What is the Bible for? Since the Bible is the World’s best seller, a great number of people have interest in and read it beyond religion. Of course, each reads the Bible with different purposes. Some read the Bible to find out scientific or archaeological evidences, some read it to have good effect on their unborn babies, and others read it to obtain moral lessons. What is the true purpose of the Bible?

You diligently study the Scriptures [Bible] because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me [Jesus] (John 5:39)

And we have the word of the prophets made more certain [we have a most reliable prophetic word], and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by [inspired by] the Holy Spirit. (2 Peter 1:19-21)

The REAL author of the Bible is God. God wrote the Bible to teach the way to eternal life and to testify about the Savior. If someone reads an economics book to learn history or a mathematics book to study music, he is just wasting his time. The author of the economics book must have written it to teach economics, and the author of the mathematics book to teach mathematics.

What can we learn from the Bible? If you still think the Bible is a Jewish history book and consider it bored, please understand the will of God who wrote the Bible and listen to the words of the Bible. The Bible contains the solution to eternal happiness and eternal life which all mankind have longed for.

… God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:4)

The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong as the Savior this Holy Spirit Age because the Bible testifies about Him as well as the First Coming Christ.
