The Apostle Paul, in his second letter, carefully wrote about “another Jesus” that he had not mentioned before. Who is “another Jesus” the Apostle Paul mentioned? Was there a different person with the name Jesus at that time? Let’s check out the passage where “another Jesus” appears:

For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus [another Jesus: ASV] we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. (2 Corinthians 11:4)

Paul wrote this letter to warn about false apostles who frequently appeared since the apostolic age. We can understand it better in Verse 13 of the same Chapter:

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve. (2 Corinthians 11:13-15)

In other words, “another Jesus” is not a person of the same name, but a false apostle or a false Christ. It was a common problem for the Apostles. The Apostle John also wrote about a false Christ:

Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. (1 John 2:18)

How can we recognize “another Jesus” or the antichrist? The way to recognize him is also found in the Bible.

Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. (2 John 1:7)

The antichrist or “another Jesus” is the one who does not acknowledge the Second Coming Jesus as coming in the flesh. According to the Bible, Jesus is to come in the flesh. Moreover, He is to bring us the Passover which has the power to forgive sins (Hebrews 9:27-28.) We must believe in the Bible as written. It’s not allowed to add to or subtract from it.

Nonetheless, if you try to deny the Second Coming Christ, you will be found to be a false prophet who preaches “another Jesus” or the antichrist.

NOTE: The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong who came in the flesh and brought us the Passover according to the prophecies of the Bible (Hebrews 9:27-28.)
