Two thousand years ago, Jesus said to Simon Peter three times, “Do you truly love me?” At his questions, Peter repeated the same answer: “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” After confirming his consistent and passionate mind, Jesus entrusted him with His sheep by saying, “Feed my sheep.”
When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep. (John 21:15-17)
This becomes a good model for pastors and priests who say they love Christ today. In revival services, sermons or prayers, they do not forget to say, “Lord, I love You.” I even saw pastors who raising their arms towards sky and shouted “I love Christ.” If they love Jesus so much, they are expected to feed the sheep. Then, how to feed the sheep?
He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read… (Luke 4:16)
So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover… While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Matthew 26:19-28)
If you love me, you will obey what I command. (John 14:15)
Jesus established the new covenant to give life to the sheep and to give the forgiveness of sins and eternal life to them. And He taught us that we should keep the rules and regulations of the new covenant if we love Him. The Apostle Peter loved Jesus with all his heart. Thus, he kept the Sabbath day and the Passover of the new covenant, and fed the sheep by preaching the rules of the new covenant. The Apostle Paul, who loved Jesus more than others, also fed the sheep with the regulations of the new covenant (1 Corinthians 5:7-8; Acts 17:2.)
Unfortunately, pastors and priests, who confess that they love Jesus more than their own lives, consider the Sabbath and the Passover of the new covenant established by Jesus heretic while faithfully keeping the Sunday service and Christmas, the rules of pagan religions. Anyone can say love with lips. However, those who contradict what they say cannot be said that they truly love Jesus. If pastors of today truly love Jesus like the Apostles Peter and Paul, they have to show actions first by following the words of Jesus, don’t they?
Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? (Luke 6:46)
A boy say that I love daddy. But, he always doesn’t follow his father’s teaching and run other way which father say “do not”. Do you think He loves his father absolutely? If U love God, you should do what God teaches and did. Because God let you to do that because He loves you and really want you to enter the kingdom of heaven!
Of course! I Love my father christ ahnsahnghong and my heavenly mother. so i will keep the God’s commandments.
Looking back my path of faith, I didnot carry out the mission to feed the lambs. At least from now on I will preach Father second coming Christ Ahnsahnghong and Jerusalem Mother.
If we say “yes, I love Christ, Jesus” we must keep the Sabbath day and Passover. But people who keep the Sunday worship and Christmas have no qualification to say “I love Jesus” It because Jesus said “If you love me, you will obey what I command”
If you truly love God, you should work for gospel.
The gospel which God gave us is Passover, Sabbath day…not Christmas and Sunday worship.
You’re right! We should keep the Passover and Sabbath day instead of Christmas and Sunday.
In these days, people who are Protestants preach although they are not truly son or daughter of
Heavenly God. I am ashamed of my behavior that I cannot obey God’s word as a truly son. I’ll try to
show my affection to the God with enthusiastic preaching.
Express Love for God! By keeping his word and commands.
Yes!! It is the true love for God. Not only with lips but also deeds.
Thanks for your comment. Yes, we must worship God not only with lips but also with deeds. GBU.
The World Mission Society Church of God is Zion where God’s feasts are observed including the Passover of the new covenant and the Sabbath day. The Church of God keeps the feasts of the New Testament, not of the Old Testament. The Bible also says that the saints who will be saved in the last days need the commandments and faith as well:
In this age of the Holy Spirit, we should believe in the Spirit and the bride (Revelation 22:17) and follow God’s commandments to get salvation. I give thanks to Christ Ahnsahnghong who restored God’s commandments including the Passover and the Sabbath according to the prophecies of the Bible to lead us to the kingdom of heaven.
Since I love God, I obey His commands.
Some might think of Christmas, Thanksgiving Day, Easter… But these are not God’s commandments, but man-made teachings. We cannot get salvation through such man-made rules. Instead, we should observe the new covenant. I give thanks to Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother, who restored the new covenant according to the prophecies of the Bible.
I believe to keep God’s commandment’s is the clearest way to show our love toward God.
Faith without deeds is dead! Even evildoers say, “I love God!”
Whoever loves God must act according to the Bible!
It’s very natural that those who love Jesus obey His words.
Jesus wanted us to keep the Passover of the new covenant by saying, “I have eagerly desire to eat this Passover with you” (Luke 22:15.) It’s because we, sinners, can be forgiven through the Passover of the new covenant. Unfortunately, all churches except the World Mission Society Church of God disobey Jesus’ words. Instead, they follow man-made teachings such as Sunday and Christmas which are not based on the Bible. We should obey the new covenant to enter the kingdom of heaven. Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the new covenant which had been disappeared during the Dark Ages.
If God ask to me “Do you love me?
I’will answer ” I Love You, Christ ahnsahnghong and God the Mother ”
It is not only with lips but also deeds !!
