WMSCOG Queen's Award

The WMSCOG is awarded Presidential Citation in 2015

In May 2015, the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) was bestowed with the Presidential Citation. The Presidential Citation is granted to a group that continued to contribute to the society for 5 or more years. The eligible groups are chosen through a strict review process. The process consists of seven steps including police scrutiny over the candidate groups. Therefore, it’s impossible to be bestowed with this Award if a group has been involved in any wrong-doings.

Kim Young-Suk, the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF), delivered the award certificate and the banner of the Presidential Citation to the Church at the award ceremony held at the Sejong Central Government Complex on June 8th, 2015.

Vice Minister Kim commended the Church of God,

“The Church of God has become a spiritual anchor in the field of pain. You’ve shown a message of love to all people with your devotional efforts, and it is right to award you the Presidential Citation. We appreciate all your hard work.”

The World Mission Society Church of God, Who Are They?

“The love of God the Mother” lies in the core belief of the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG). The members of the Church of God practice such love through various volunteer services not only through preaching the gospel – the new covenant.

They have willingly performed many community services include the following: ‘New Life Giving Campaign’ for children with heart disease and rare diseases; supporting poor neighbors with daily necessities; activities to recover disaster areas and to help farmers; various clean-up campaigns; supporting activities for sports events.

In recognition of their devotional community services, the World Mission Society Church of God received the Presidential Citation of the Republic of Korea (ROK) in 2003 and the ROK Medal in 2004 respectively. The volunteer services of the Church has been performed around the world. Their community services also took place in the regions in Indonesia affected by the tsunami which killed hundreds of thousands of people in 2004, the flooded areas in Nepal and several countries affected by water shortages in Africa. Most especially, in 2010, General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol delivered a donation of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to the Central Emergency Relief Fund (CERF) of the UN for the people of Haiti and Chile suffering from the terrible earthquake. Such good deeds of the Church have been known to various nations.

The WMSCOG received a lifetime achievement award from Barack Obama President of the United States. It also received awards from the Mayor of Christchurch, New Zealand, the Mayor of Manchester, UK and many other nations.

Most especially, the World Mission Society Church of God believes in God the Mother as well as God the Father. However, many established churches and denominations dispute this belief. They insist that there is only God the Father in the Bible. But, the Bible clearly testifies about God the Mother from the first book “Genesis” to the last book “Revelation.”

In the Hebrew Bible, the word “Elohim” is used to refer to “God.” Elohim means “Gods” not “a God.” The Bible also says that the Spirit and the Bride give us the water of life (Revelation 22:17.) According to the Bible, the World Mission Society Church of God believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong (Korean: 안상홍) and God the Mother as the Spirit and the Bride.

You might have heard some rumors about the World Mission Society Church of God. But such rumors are all lies and far from the truth. As there is a saying, “Seeing is believing”, if you drop by one of the Church of God nearby, you will easily realize that such rumors are just rumors and are all lies. (If the Church of God is a bad group according to the slanderers, how can the Church receive such prestigious awards in a row? Actually, the Supreme Court also confirmed this fact repeatedly.)
