The Feast of Tabernacles

The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) keeps the Feast of Tabernacles. You might think that the Feast of Tabernacles is a mere feast of the Old Testament and should not be kept in this age of the New Testament.

However, the WMSCOG does not celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles of the Old Covenant, but the Feast of Tabernacles of the New Covenant. Please refer to the following Cult Research Center (CRC) article about the Feast of Tabernacles:

Then, why should we keep the Feast of Tabernacles today? It’s because we can receive the Spirit by keeping this feast.

Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, and to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD Almighty, they will have no rain [rain = the Spirit]. If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain [rain = the Spirit]. The LORD will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. (Zechariah 14:16-18)

It’s prophesied that those who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles will not receive the rain [the Spirit], but the plague. It’s a prophecy which will take place in this age when there will be neither sunlight nor cold, frosty darkness (Zechariah 14:6.) It applies not only to the Jews but also to all the nations.

Those who do not celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles cannot receive the Spirit. In other words, we should keep the Feast of the Tabernacles to receive the Spirit in this age. Actually, Jesus who kept the Feast of the Tabernacles said as follows while keeping this feast:

But when the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near… Not until halfway through the Feast [the Feast of Tabernacles] did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach… On the last and greatest day of the Feast [the Feast of Tabernacles], Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water [the Spirit] will flow from within him.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. (John 7:2-39)

Also, the Bible says that those who do not go up to Jerusalem cannot receive the rain or the Spirit (Zechariah 14:16-18.) Does “Jerusalem” here refer to the physical Jerusalem located in Palestine today? No. It refers to the Heavenly Jerusalem or God the Mother. The Apostle Paul wrote:

Galatians 4:26 - God the Mother in heaven

Therefore, we can receive the Spirit from God the Mother in this age. For this reason, it’s written that living water will flow out from Jerusalem:

zechariah-14-8

In this age, we should believe in the Heavenly Jerusalem [God the Mother] as well as God the Mother to receive the water of life.

Revelation 22-17

According to the prophecy of the Bible, the members of the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believe in Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother as the Savior of this age. Please come to the Church of God to receive the water of life from God the Father and God the Mother.
