The Bible is the best-selling and most widely distributed book in the world today. However, the Bible consists of a series of deep and mysterious secrets. Most people, even though they read the Bible, do not realize the hidden meaning of the words of every prophecy in it.
The Bible testifies about the Christ (John 5:39.) Among many prophecies in the Bible, let’s find out the implied meaning of the words, “Seek David in the last days.”
Prophet Hosea testifies that God’s people must seek king David in this last days. To receiving blessings from God, we must meet David. Is he David who was the second king of Israel? The book of Hosea was written long after king David died. Therefore, David we should seek in the last days is a prophetical David. Jesus Christ was given the throne of David. Therefore the prophetical David is Jesus Christ. Why do you think Jesus was prophesied to reign on the throne of David? It’s because Jesus is closely related to David. David became a king at the age 30 and reigned forty years (2 Samuel 5:4.) This is David’s throne. Jesus was baptized at the age of 30 fulfilling the prophecy of David’s throne. Just as David was anointed and became king at the age of 30, Jesus was baptized at the age of 30 (to become the king of the kingdom of gospel) and preached the gospel. David represents Jesus. Then, how long was Jesus supposed to preach the gospel? Just as David reigned for forty years, so Jesus had to preach the gospel for forty years. However, as you know, Jesus preached for three years only. What about the remaining 37 years which was not compete? Therefore, the Bible prophesies that Jesus will appear a second time (Hebrews 9:28.)
