‘If someone rises from the dead and evidences that there are heaven and hell, my family obviously repent. I wish that at least my family could escape this torment,’ thought the rich man who was suffering burning pain in hell (Luke 16:19-31.) So he begged God:
“Father Abraham! Please send Lazarus who is at your side to my father’s house, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them that there are heaven and hell, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.” (Luke 16:19-28)
At his earnest request, God said sadly:
They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them. If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead. (Luke 16:29-31)
In general, many think that if a died friend rises from the dead and speaks the existence of heaven and hell, people may believe it. However, God said, “If they do not listen to the words of Moses and the Prophets [the Bible], people will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.” Suppose, a died person comes back from heaven and says, “Heaven and hell actually exist, and those who believe in the Savior, who gives us eternal life, can enter the kingdom of heaven.” Then, how many will listen to his word? Most people will not quite believe it, or some may even scorn him by saying “you must be crazy.” Or, using complex medical terms, physicians might determine that he saw things that weren’t there.
God dismissed the request of the rich man and said that the way to know the Savior is to look at the scriptures of Moses and the Prophets, or the Bible, rather than the witness of a person who rises from the dead. Therefore, we cannot know the Savior and heaven and hell, through other books than the Bible, or through other ways. In order not to go to hell like the rich man, we must seek and receive the Savior whom the Bible testifies about.
You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me [Christ who will save mankind] (John 5:39)
NOTE: The World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) believes in Christ Ahnsahnghong who came in the flesh and restored the Passover of the New Covenant according to the prophecy of the Bible.
I know how many comments i sent and how many scriptural evidence i hv shown and its not there? R u a genuine people? I don’t think so .
Hey, you misunderstood something. Whatever you boast about your knowledge, it’s meaningless if you cannot get salvation. Do you think your knowledge will save you?
You think you have rich knowledge in the Scriptures, but you even do not understand how we can get salvation.
God Jehovah said, “I will make a new covenant” (Jeremiah 31:31), and Jesus made the new covenant through the Passover (Luke 22:20.) Jesus promised the forgiveness of sins while keeping the Passover.
Do you think you will be saved without keeping the Passover of the new covenant? Jesus said, “I eagerly desired to keep this Passover with you” (Luke 22:20.)
In fact, every of your words is contrary to the teachings of the Bible. Most especially, you would not keep the new covenant. I explained it plainly to you and it’s up to you whether you will accept it or not. But you will deserve your choice some day.
If i say “I will be saved because i keep the passover” that is contrary to the bible
Ephesians 2:8-10
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Why do we have to keep the 10commandmemts? to be saved? No we keep it because we are saved through his blood and “if we love him we keep his commandments”JOHN14:15
“For this is the love of God, that we keep his comandments: and his commandments are not so grievous”
1john 5:3.
We have to keep the sabbath day holy and that is saturday not sunday, why i worship him on sabbath and keep the sabbath holy because i am saved not be saved. I do this because i love him and he commaded to REMEMBER.
We can be saved if we keep the Passover because Jesus promised the forgiveness of sins to those who keep the Passover.
WE love God [Jesus], therefore we just follow His Words.
You even do not know and do not keep the Passover of the new covenant. How can you be saved?
We should know God to get salvation. And we should follow His Commandments to get salvation. Salvation is possible with faith and keeping commandments.
In this age, we should believe in the Spirit and the Bride [God the Father and God the Mother] to receive the water of life or salvation (Rev 22:17.)

“If i say “I will be saved because i keep the passover” that is contrary to the bible” -> This shows that you do not want to follow the Words of God even though you claim you believe in God.
Those who believe and love God follow His Words.
Moreover, the Sabbath kept by you from Friday evening is wrong.
The correct Sabbath day should be kept on Saturday (not from Friday evening.)
Please read this article (http://crc.ac/half-a-sabbath/ ) titled “Half a Sabbath” carefully.
Since you keep God’s commandments in wrong ways, you do not understand the importance of the new covenant and the Savior who restored the new covenant according to the prophecies of the Bible.
“If i say “I will be saved because i keep the passover” that is contrary to the bible” -> after this i mentioned bible verses and i explained why i follow the words of God, but in reply you said “This shows that you do not want to follow the Words of God even though you claim you believe in God.
Those who believe and love God follow His Words”.
Jesus promised the forgiveness of sins while keeping the Passover of the new covenant. But you just reject the Words of Jesus.
As I said, God Jehovah promised to make a new covenant and Jesus made the new covenant. Those who realize the Bible correctly understand that Jesus is God Jehovah. By following the Words of God, we should keep the new covenant.
Those who believe in God follow His Words, but you do not.
As I said, it’s wrong to keep the Sabbath from Friday evening.
Please read this article (http://crc.ac/half-a-sabbath/ ) titled “Half a Sabbath” carefully to understand the correct Sabbath day.
Today, only the World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG) keeps the Sabbath in a correct way according to the Bible.
Moreover, we keep the Sabbath of the new covenant not of the old covenant:
http://crc.ac/the-sabbath-of-the-old-testament-and-the-sabbath-of-the-new-testament/
In this age, we should keep the Sabbath of the new covenant not of the old covenant.
Please also see “The Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Sabbath” at http://crc.ac/the-seventh-day-adventist-church-and-the-sabbath/
Well keeping the sabbath according to the bible its still even to even not sunrise to sunrise, jews are not wrong in keeping the sabbath, dark part comes first then light, and to explain in spiritual point of view we were in darkness heading towards light, anyway ill discuss about this later but let me continue to explain you about “soul” “spirit”
Does bible say soul was given to man?
You do not need to play with words.
(Please read http://crc.ac/is-the-soul-immortal/ carefully. Without reading it, please do not post any comments on the soul any more.)
How about keeping the new covenant promised by God Jehovah and made by Jesus to get salvation?
Your words proved that you do not believe in God and do not keep God’s commandments.
As I said, it’s wrong to keep the Sabbath from Friday evening. Have you read the article titled “Half a Sabbath” carefully to understand the correct Sabbath day (http://crc.ac/half-a-sabbath/ )?
Why you dont want me to explain about soul? I’ll give biblical answer
Tell me is soul given to man?
Hey, I can explain it based on the Scriptures. But I will not because you would not listen to me. Also I do not want to waste my time.
(I might have an opportunity to write an article about this issue. If then, I will let you know.)
Instead, how about keeping God’s commandments correctly?
As I said, the Sabbath you keep from Friday evening is not Biblical at all (http://crc.ac/half-a-sabbath/).
Also, God Jehovah foretold that He would make a new covenant and Jesus made the new covenant. By following God’s command, we should keep the new covenant.
We can get salvation by keeping the new covenant because Jesus [God the Son] promised the forgiveness of sins while keeping the Passover of the new covenant (Matthew 26:28.) We should keep the new covenant as well as the Sabbath to get salvation.
As I said, the commandment it self cannot save us. We can get salvation by believing in and following the Words of God: “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” (Matthew 26:28)
We should follow the Words of the Bible without adding to or removing from. You only insist to keep the Sabbath (which is not consistent with the Bible). But we should keep the Sabbath day of the new covenant, the Passover of the new covenant and the feasts of the new covenant.
What is a soul?
It’s written, “for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” (1 Peter 1:9)
The goal of our faith should be the salvation of our souls. Faith without knowing how to get salvation is meaningless.
Jesus said, “The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.” (John 6:63)
What did He say?
How can we eat His flesh and drink His blood?
Jesus declared the Passover as the new covenant (Luke 22:20.)
The Passover is the feast of life, when we can eat the flesh of Jesus and drink the blood of Jesus. Without keeping the Passover of the new covenant, we cannot expect the salvation of our souls.
David adds to the testimony with these words, “Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire, and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.” Psalm 11:6. Notice that he uses almost the same words as John and Peter in describing the fate of the wicked. All agree as to the place of the punishment (the earth) and the agent of punishment (fire).
This brings us to the third great fact about the subject of hell. Hell as a place of punishment will be this earth turned into a lake of fire at the Day of Judgment. But this also raises some other very interesting questions about the fate of the lost. One of the most intriguing and puzzling has to do with the length of punishment. How long will the wicked continue to live and suffer in that fire?
No one can answer that question precisely because the Bible says they will be punished according to their works. This means there will be degrees of punishment. Some will suffer longer than others. But one thing we can say with certainty-the wicked won’t live in that fire throughout eternity.
How about keeping the new covenant of the Passover Jesus established for the forgiveness of sins?
Whatever you think, there are two ways in front of humans: kingdom of heaven or hell. The dead will be judged what they had done on this earth on that day. Without receiving the forgiveness of sins on this earth, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven.
http://crc.ac/the-passover-the-feast-of-the-new-covenant/
Where are the dead righteous now? Are they prasing God ?
It’s written, “No one remembers you when he is dead. Who praises you from the grave?” (Ps 6:5)
However, if you study verses 1-5 in the same chapter, we can easily see that this word does not mean that no one has the spirit after death, but that no one can give God thanks in the grave unless he is saved. So it’s written:
Your words show that you will not be saved because you think you cannot give thanks to God after death.
Those who misunderstood the Bible claim such unreasonable claims. There are some more verses which seem that there is no soul. However, if you study the Bible carefully, such verses do not mean that there is no soul.
As I said, the goal of our faith is the salvation of our souls (1 Peter 1:9.) Faith without this goal is meaningless even if you think you have much knowledge in the Scriptures. Only those who receive the new covenant can get salvation:
Jesus recognized the value of parables in teaching the people. He desired to stimulate their deepest thought and contemplation, and He knew that if He spoke too literally, certain of His hearers would quickly forget His words. Not only that, but others, for whom certain of His parables contained stern rebuke, would be so angered by straight speaking that they would attempt to silence Him by violence. Wise as a serpent but harmless as a dove, Jesus recalled the words of Isaiah 6:9 and told His disciples, “Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.” Luke 8:10. Cruden’s Concordance explains: “Our Saviour in the gospels often speaks to the people in parables. He made use of them to veil the truth from those who were not willing to see it. Those who really desired to know would not rest till they had found out the meaning.”
So, what’s your point? You do not believe in the existence of hell?
I hv already mentioned about location of hell
So how about keeping the new covenant?
Jesus promised the forgiveness of sins to those who keep the new covenant of the Passover.
Luke 16:19-31 First of all its in a series of parable, Many facts make it clear that this is a parable. A few are as follows:
Rich man is burning & he’s asking for his tongue could be cooled with a drop of water, will a drop of water really cool you in hell?
Lazarus died & he’s carried by angels to abrahams bossom, Do we really believe that every good person that dies will be carried by angel to abraham’s bossom? Abraham’s bosom is not heaven( paradise) (Hebrews 11:8-10, 16)
Do people in heaven and hell communicate with eah other to eternity? People in hell can’t talk to those in heaven (Isaiah 65: 17)
The dead are in their graves (Job 17:13; John 5:28, 29). The rich man was in bodily form with eyes, a tongue, etc., yet we know that the body does not go to hell at death. It is very obvious that the body remains in the grave, as the Bible says. If you’d like to know more about what happens after you die visit The Truth About Death website.
Men are rewarded at Christ’s second coming, not at death (Revelation 22:11, 12)
The lost are punished in hell at the end of the world, not when they die (Matthew 13:40-42). The point of the story is found in verse 31 of Luke 16. Parables cannot be taken literally. If we took parables literally, then we must believe that trees talk! (See this parable in Judges 9:8-15).
You really misunderstand the Bible. As I said, Jesus did not say anything that is contrary to the truth.
Since hell exists, Jesus let us know the existence of hell through the parable.
According to you, did Jesus invented hell to threaten people?
Please abandon your own thoughts. Instead, please keep the new covenant of the Passover to enter the kingdom of heaven.
You need to understand the meaning of “parable.”
When someone says “your eyes are like the moon in the sky,” does this mean there are “eyes” only and there is no “moon” in the sky?
Jesus showed how painful hell is through the parable. If there is no hell, he might have not taught such a parable.
BTW, how about saying something with your language? You just copied and pasted something from other sites into here. And how about posting your comments after reading my comments.
I will not approve your comments any more if you just copy from other sites.
Please read http://crc.ac/the-passover-the-feast-of-the-new-covenant/ to know how important the new covenant is to our salvation.
U refered me to some website do you have time to explain in ur words?
What i believe is biblical point of view not out of context.
You even do not understand the principle of soul and you do not understand the correct Sabbath day.
Moreover you even do not understand the new covenant I explained repeatedly.
What should I say any more?
As I said, you keep a wrong Sabbath day. And I said, God Jehovah promised to make a new covenant and Jesus made the new covenant. What should we do? We should keep the new covenant. Isn’t it simple?
The Rich Man and Lazarus
Much argument has taken place over whether the words of Jesus in Luke 16:19-31 were intended to be understood literally or as a parable. Some Christians feel that in this story, Jesus was offering His hearers a glimpse of what existence in the afterlife is like. Others, citing numerous passages of Scripture that seem to contradict the portrayal of heaven and hell contained in this passage, feel that Jesus was teaching an altogether different kind of lesson. Unfortunately, many modern religious teachers have isolated the story from its original context and used it as a device for scaring people. Religious “conversions” resulting from a fear of hell as it is depicted in this passage have indeed occurred, but are based on a foundation sorely in need of the strength that comes only from a genuine appreciation of God’s character and a proper understanding of Scripture. To begin this study, we’ll take a closer look at just what a parable really is, and then examine the setting in which Jesus told this story. Perhaps then we will better understand what lessons there are for us in the story of the rich man and Lazarus.
Thanks for your comment.
Jesus did not mention any parable that is contrary to the truth.
We just need to believe what he said.
What is this parable about? About how we must be humble in all circumstances and give thanks to God. Those whom are conceited always think about themselves and do not want to submit themselves to God’s words. Hell is the place where we all supposed to go because of our grave sins (Romans 6:23). And yet God gave us the second chance to repent. He died instead of our sins. That’s His love and He’s not trying to scare us.
Location of Hell
The Bible clearly asserts that this fire devours the wicked right here on “the breadth of the earth.” Every Bible writer who speaks on the subject of hell adds new insight on this second death of the wicked. Peter states: “But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” 2 Peter 3:7. Then he goes on to describe the day of the Lord which will melt the very elements with fervent heat.
The language of Peter is very explicit about the place of punishment for the un- godly. He says this earth is reserved for that fire which will bring judgment and perdition to the wicked. Their punishment will be in this earth. Isaiah declared, “For it is the day of the Lord’s vengeance, and the year of recompenses for the controversy of Zion. And the streams thereof shall be turned into brimstone, and the land thereof shall become burning pitch.” Isaiah 34:8, 9.
I think you need to understand the principle of the soul first.
Please read http://crc.ac/is-the-soul-immortal/ carefully.
The first death is the death of our body and the second death is the death of our soul in hell after our body died.
As written, “The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the Bible”, which is the second death. What does “the dead” mean? Whatever you think, there is hell and you will be judged what you have done on this earth. Those who receive the new covenant can enter the kingdom of heaven because Jesus promised the forgiveness of sins through the new covenant of the Passover.
http://crc.ac/the-passover-the-feast-of-the-new-covenant/
“the way to know the Savior is to look at the scriptures of Moses and the Prophets, or the Bible, rather than the witness of a person who rises from the dead.”
I think that this is the conclusion!! So, Let’s study the Bible diligently!!
I surely don’t want to end up in the lake of fire 😛 Well since I am a sinner who deserve to be there, I surely want to repent and become God’s child.
Heavenly Parents,Thank you without you I am no one. Can’t wait to go back home.I love you.
